

Tournure era un rigonfiamento elastico, da portare sotto la gonna. Molto in voga alla fine dell’800, quando il volume del tessuto era tutto raggruppato all’indietro, a formare una silhouette esageratamente inarcata. Riappare sporadicamente durante tutto il XX secolo, soprattutto per gli abiti da sera. Negli anni ’40 la riprende Balenciaga e, alla fine degli anni ’80, la riscoprono Chanel, Balmain e Lacroix. Per la stagione ’93-94, è stata usata da Yohji Yamamoto e Vivienne Westwood.
