Nasce nel 1929 per la formazione degli addetti del settore. Oltre a insegnare stilismo e modellismo, École de la Chambre Syndical de la Couture propone corsi più attuali di giornalismo e buyer di moda. Si insegnano ancora quelle arti in via d’estinzione come il drappeggio su manichino e le rifiniture di orli e bottoniere a mano, nella migliore tradizione francese. Per il privilegio di conoscere questi segreti della moda si pagano circa 7 mila euro all’anno dopo la presentazione del proprio book e un colloquio. Tra gli ex alunni famosi della scuola: Saint-Laurent, Scherrer, Courrèges, Miyake e Jean Colonna.
